Find a Cheap Flight to Your Next Adventure Spot

By May 21, 2017 Adventures, General, Home, Travel

As the weather is getting warmer and schools are near the end of the year. Most of us are planning for some adventurous summer.  As you plan your next adventure trip, although, it seems difficult but you want to stay within budget as much as possible.

There is always a lot of competition between airlines.  We are always looking to save some money here and there especially want to grab some great deals on airline tickets so we can spend more on the fun stuff. Below are a few tips to follow when you’re looking to purchase an airline ticket, book a hotel or even renting a car.

Join Last Minute Travel Club and save up to 65% off your hotel stay plus get $25 off your first booking

Avoid to Travel near Major Holidays

There are certain days, or time of year when the prices of airlines go higher or lower. If you’re traveling few days before New Year’s day, Christmas or Fourth of July etc. then you are most likely to face high fares. It’s a lot cheaper to travel after a major holiday.

Travel on Weekdays

Traveling during the week is cheaper than weekend. Same with the timings, flying late at night or early morning is cheaper because not everyone likes to travel late at night or early morning.

Plan Your Trip Early

Start your search as early as possible. Most airlines release tickets about 11 months in advance. But don’t book your flight that early. Keep an eye on the tickets for your destination and search at least once a week to grab the best deal.  Best time to purchase is at least 6 to 8 weeks before traveling.

Choose Budget Airlines

Fly budget airlines, you have to face a few layovers and change of planes but it will cost you a lot less and if you’re traveling for adventure you can enjoy the stay for few hours at different airports or get a pass to go out and explore the nearby attractions.

Take Advantage of Student Discounts

Some travel sites provide discounts for students or under age 26. Take advantage of that and ask for student discounts.

 Avoid Fees for Extra Luggage

Avoid over the limit luggage, most airlines charge extra if you have more luggage than allowed.

Delete Your Search History

Delete your cookies/history as some airlines save cookies and are tracking your search data, which may lead to higher prices for returning customers searching for a specific flight.

Join a frequent flyer program

It’s free to join and you’ll earn points towards cheaper fares, upgrades, and free companion tickets. Even if you don’t travel often, it doesn’t hurt to join the program and eventually add up your points especially if you’re going on a longer flight.

Search in Different Search Engines

Search in different search engines and websites to look for the lowest deals before you book your flight.

Use Different Airlines to Travel

Sometimes choosing different airlines for departure and returning on a different airline is a lot cheaper than booking a flight on the same airline both ways.

20 Simple Adventures You Can Enjoy Anytime

By April 25, 2017 Adventures, General, Home, Travel

What is adventure? It not only means very unusual experience or excitement but also means taking a chance of something. So if you thought you can have an adventure only when you have plenty of time for vacation or on a weekend hanging out in the mountains, then you are missing a lot of fun.

Taking chances and doing something you have never done before or feel that you could never do is an awesome adventure. These are little things that make you feel alive and freshen you up after the busy routine.

A while back, I was bored of everyday routine work; Honestly, I didn’t have much spare time for myself even on weekends. I had to wait for certain holidays or once/twice a year vacations for some adventures. So I thought of creating a journal and writing up things I would enjoy doing in life.

Writing up these things pushed me a little more and I started doing those projects after work and enjoyed a lot. Below are some things I wrote in my journal. Maybe you would like to try a few if not all.

  1. Learn to be a better Photographer.
  2. Cook and eat a new recipe from a different culture once every other week
  3. Learn a language you’ve never heard of before.
  4. Adopt a pet- a dog, cat or even a small bird.
  5. Change your look-hairstyle- hair color, your dressing style.
  6. Plant some tomatoes veggies and herbs in your garden. Take care of them and watch them grow.
  7. Learn your family tree and put it together in a creative way.
  8. Plan to meet someone you haven’t met in a long time.
  9. Learn to play a game you love but are not good at-chess, mahjong etc.
  10. Take a walk in the rain.
  11. Learn to paint landscapes or anything you like.
  12. Find things you haven’t used in a while and sell them on eBay or craigslist. Start from the lowest price and see how much it sells for.
  13. Keep your internet off for a few days and see what difference it makes to your life. Note down all the different things you did in your journal.
  14. Eat something you never liked and thought it was nasty.
  15. Make up a song and sing in front of your friends.
  16. Write a biography. Everything you remember from your childhood.
  17. Go camping in your backyard.
  18. Ride a bike everywhere you go for a day or two.
  19. Plan a surprise birthday party for someone you love in a unique way.
  20. Spend time with an elder person and listen to their life stories -put a smile on their face.

It’s spring time. Sometimes I wonder how life slowly changes but we hardly realize the change, after a while we look back and see how everything is different.

Just a few weeks ago the trees had no leaves and you could even see through the tree tops but now I looked out the window and saw the trees full of green leaves.

It’s the best time of the year. Everything feels new, birds coming back home, flowers blossoming, and the warm weather make you feel refreshed.

With the weather so good everyone wants to go out and have fun in the sun.  You feel more alive with the warmer weather because you see a lot people doing different activities around you, unlike winter when everyone prefers to stay inside and be warm.

Now that winter is over, most of us are planning the summer vacations, visits to beach, another state or country. Summer is all about fun.

There are so many places in the world to see and explore so it gets confusing to choose the perfect place. Below I found some amazing places you can visit this year that are affordable yet adventurous for the whole family.

California’s Yosemite National Park features towering waterfalls, unique rock formations and its giant, ancient sequoia trees. In Yosemite Village you’ll find Museum, lodging, restaurants and shops.  Guided tours and climbing lessons are available from local adventure outfitters for people who have no experience of hiking. Keep in mind like most American tourist destinations you’ll see lots of crowds.
